1/14/2012 - Are you a leader or a follower?

Others may have their own opinion, but I think I am both a leader and a follower at times. When it is something that I care about, I think I get a little bossy and thus become a "leader" (or maybe more of a tyrant). But if I don't have an opinion one way or the other, I am more go with the flow and therefore a follower.

  1. I feel like "follower" is a negative term. Like Kristina, I feel like I am both, just depending on the situation. At work, I have to be a leader. But in my personal life, I'm definitely more of a follower, I think of it more as, go with the flow. I don't care what I am doing, as long as I am with my friends or family.

  2. I think I am mainly a follower I guess! I just tend to go with the flow and do what others tell me. Sounds lame! I am a leader at home though...but that is my comfort zone! I think sometimes I miss out on some opportunities because I am not more of a leader...not sure how to change that though...wish I could be more "take charge"!

  3. I dont know. I don't think I am a very strong leader. If I want to get something done I usually have to enlist support from other stronger leaders... so I dont know if that makes me a follower, or leader from behind the curtain or just manipulative? I think I can be a follower if it's a good idea, but overall I pretty much do whatever I want anyways!

  4. Definitely both and certainly depends on who I'm hanging out with. If I'm with someone who is more of a leader than I, they usually take the reins and vice versa (with more of a follow the lead type person). I usually see myself as going w/ the flow, but will put my foot down if it's not something that I am into doing.

I find it difficult being a leader all the time. With work, I'm 'supposed' to be a leader at all times. Sometimes I wish someone could just give me the tasks and I could get them done. HA
